A type that can be played large and round. This type is used for caramel popcorn (it has fewer protrusions, so the caramel easily clings to the surface). The flavor is weak, so it's best suited for seasoning. There is little left after being played. Store-bought caramel popcorn is too sweet and has questionable ingredients, so I'd like to make it myself (it's surprisingly easy), but it's hard to find in Japan, so I'm grateful.
